Registration Information

Dear Northeast Parents:

Welcome back and we look forward to another great school year at Northeast!  Please find information regarding our registration procedures for all students attending Northeast Community School District.

We would like to inform you that all newsletters, menus, calendars, and current information will be available on our website at www.northeast.k12.ia.us.  


To register your child through the on-line process, please save the forms to your computer, fill them out, resave them, and attach them to an e-mail to the school secretary, either Karen Mangelsen karen.mangelsen@northeast.k12.ia.us for Elementary or Anna Lorenzen anna.lorenzen@northeast.k12.ia.us for Middle/High School.  You can also print them out and fax them to 563.577.2450. The on-line payment processing system is offered through Pay Schools.  This program allows you to make all school-related payments online via credit card or e-check at your convenience.     


To register your child by mail, please mail your completed forms and payment to:

If you are not able to register by mail or on-line, you may attend a walk-in registration on Thursday, August 1st from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM at the high school.  Please bring all completed materials and fees with you at that time.  Middle and high school students can pick up their class schedules during this registration time. 

Elementary parents will receive a letter indicating your child’s teacher after you have registered.  Student supply kits that were ordered from the PTO will be delivered to your child’s teacher and do not need to be picked up at registration.  


Please mark your calendars with the following dates:

  • Thurs. August 8th at 5:00 pm:  9th Grade Orientation for Parents and Students at the Middle/High School                                                        
  • Tues. August 13th at 5:00 pm:   Elementary Open House – You and your child will have a chance to meet their teacher, locate their desk and locker, and bring all of their school supplies.
  • Tues. August 13th at 6:00 pm:  7th Grade Orientation for Parents and Students at the Middle/High School       

If you know of any new families entering our district, please encourage them to call the school and provide contact information as soon as possible.

A reminder to all athletes, you need to have a Physical, Good Conduct Form and a Concussion Waiver turned into the office before you can practice or compete in a sport.

We appreciate your assistance in helping us begin this new school year.  Your efforts will help prepare your children for a wonderful start to their year.

Classes begin on Thursday, August 15th.
