Registration Information

We are looking forward to another great school year at Northeast!  Please find enclosed information regarding our registration procedures for all students attending Northeast Community School District.

This year all registration must be completed online.  If you do not have internet access, please call the school on August 6th to schedule a time to register in our computer lab.

Please follow these steps to register:

Step 1:       Log into JMC with your user name and password.  


                  JMC:  https://jmc.northeast.k12.ia.us

Step 2:       Under the Student Registration tab, verify and/or complete all fields for the child listed.  When finished click “Save.”  Note: You will not be able to view your changes until on or after August 6th when the secretaries have approved them. 

Step 3:       If you have more than one child, select their name from the top of the page and complete the process listed in Step 2 for each child.

Step 4:       While in JMC, go to the Lunch tab and select “Make Online Deposit” at the top of the page.  This will take you into the Pay Schools site to complete the registration process by paying all fees via credit card or e-check.  Once you’ve added a lunch deposit you can click on “Continue Shopping” to add payment for book rent and optional fees.  Elementary parents who have completed this step will receive a letter indicating your child’s teacher on or after August 6th.            

Step 5:       A reminder to all athletes in grades 7 through 12, you need to have a Physical, Good Conduct Form and a Concussion Waiver turned into the office before you can practice or compete in a sport.  Please go to the Activities Registration webpage to complete these forms.

The application forms for Free/Reduced Lunch will be emailed to households by August 1st

If you have any questions regarding registration, please call the school on or after August 6th.

Please mark your calendars with the following dates:                                         

  • Thursday, August 13 at 5:00 pm                

Parent Orientation for families new to the elementary in the Elementary Library. Children should not attend this orientation.

  • Monday, August 17th at 5:00 pm                

9th Grade Orientation for Parents and Students at the Middle/High School                      

  • Thursday, August 20th from 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm                           

Elementary Open House – You and your child will have a chance to meet their teacher, locate their desk and locker, and bring all of their school supplies.

  • Thursday, August 20th at 6:30 pm              

6th & 7th Grade Orientation for Parents and Students at the Middle/High School     

If you know of any new families entering our district, please encourage them to call the school at 563-577-2249 and provide contact information as soon as possible. 

We appreciate your assistance in helping us begin the new 2015-2016 school year.  Your efforts will help prepare your children for a wonderful start to their year.  Please contact us with any questions or concerns.
