A message from the Superintendent: Welcome to the Northeast Community School website. We hope you find our website helpful and informative. We are working hard to assure that community members have the information they need about our schools in an easy-to-find format. We are in the process of reviewing our website, and it will undergo a major renovation during 2010. Your comments and suggestions are invaluable to us. We also want those of you who are seeking a new school for your children to have the information you need to make the best educational choices for them. The vision of our school district focuses on meeting the diverse needs and interests of the students we serve. As you all know, it has been a difficult financial year for our nation. The Northeast Community School District has not been immune to the downturn in the world economy. We will attempt to keep the community informed regarding financial issues during the coming months. Despite these difficult times, our staff continues to provide a top-notch education for the children in our schools, and we continue to be committed to the success and well-being of our students and their families.

The Northeast Booster Basketball Tournament sign-up forms are on the News, Activities and Events page if you would like to participate. NEW DENTAL LAW Effective July 1, 2008, Iowa State Law requires that all children entering Kindergarten and 9th Grade, as well as any out-of-state transfer student, must have a dental screening completed. We are providing you with the State Screening Certificate that you will need to take to your dental provider. If you have any questions, please call the school. NOTICE TO THE PUBLICThe School Board of Northeast Community School District will meet in the Elementary Library at 1450 370th Avenue, PO Box 130, Goose Lake, Iowa, 52750 on November 23, 2009 at 5:45 P.M. for a hearing on the proposed plans, specifications, form of contract, and estimated cost of the following improvement: Parking Lot Modifications – Northeast Community Junior/High School, Goose Lake, Iowa. The regular November Northeast Board of Education meeting date has been rescheduled to Monday, November 23, 2009 in the library at Northeast Elementary School at 6:00 P.M.
