Skylar Wegener cements her name in the record books with her win this afternoon, winning 5th place in class 1A. Skylar pinned #6 Kaidance Hall from New Hampton/ Turkey Valley. Congratulations Skylar! Rebel Nation is beyond proud of you!!


#3 Skylar Wegener falls short of the championship against #2 Haley Armstrong of Atlantic. Skylar's day is FAR from over! She will be wrestling back against #1 Kaylee Dejon of Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley after the break. Her bout is going to be #1364. Tune in and support Skylar, Rebel Nation!

#3 seeded senior Skylar Wegener PINS #14 Gracie Thompson from from South Winneshiek in the first period! Skylar will wrestle again today, her bout # 1219. Junior media student, Kilee Faur is at the tournament and capturing Skylar's historic moments in her final season.


Today the Middle School and High School wished Skylar Wegener sent her off to Iowa City for her state wrestling qualification. Skylar will wrestle tomorrow, she has earned the 3 seed and will face the 14 seed Gracie Thompson from South Winneshiek. Best of luck Skylar, all of Rebel Nation is cheering for you and proud of you for making Rebel history as a three time state qualifier!

The middle school and high school wrapped up their food drive on Friday, and today we got the final total. Student Council set out with a goal to raise 2,000 pounds of food. They TRIPPLED their goal by raising 6,677 (6-7!!) pounds of food!!! Special recognition was given to sophomore Caleb Jackson who brought in close to 300 POUNDS of food himself! The 6th grade was recognized for their contribution for the penny wars which they won with 1,143 points!!
The top five contributing WINNs (in terms of weight of food) were Mrs. Shannon (1,052), Mrs. Pataska, Mr. Alger (1,021) , Mrs. Hansen, and Mr. Sipes (506).
Mr. Sipes' WINN won the Kahoot to become the reigning WINN. for the food drive!
